Furnace Ignitors are like light bulbs in the fact that they wear out. When they go out they need to be replaced.
The furnace circuit board would be considered the brains of the furnace. Like all computers, they sometimes get fried and stop working.
The blower motor is what pushes the air through your furnace system.
The inducer motor is a blower that energizes your system when heat is required. It blows air into the vent for about 30 seconds at the beginning of the heating sequence to prove that the vent to the outside is clear and will permit combustion gas to be expelled from your house.
The thermostat is the on/off switch for your furnace. It checks the temperature of the house and decides based your programming of the thermostat if heat is needed.
Price depends on features (manual, programmable, digital, etc…)
$125 – $275
The transformer takes the incoming power to the furnace unit and decreases the power output for the circuit board and thermostat controls. This keeps both from getting too much power.
